composition, construction and performance of which are,
in every material respect, identical to that described in the
material submitted, and that are typified by samples
submitted by the applicant for evaluation for approval in
accordance with sections 13 and 14 of the Electricity and
Gas Inspection Regulations. The following is a summary
of the principal features only.

The WM5-96 is a solid state polyphse meter approved
for revenue metering.
Echelon WM5-96 est un compteur polyphasé à semi-
conducteurs approuvé aux fins de facturation.
The WM5-96 meter is approved for bi-directional
measurement of kWh and kvarh.
Le compteur WM5-96 est approuvé pour mesurer dans
les deux directions les kWh et les kvarh.
The WM5-96 meter is approved for block interval and
sliding window present watt demand measurement.
Le compteur WM5-96 est approuvé pour mesurer la
puissance actuelle en watt par période d’intégration et par
fenêtre mobile.
The WM-96 meter does not have a peak demand
register.
Le compteur WM-96 ne possède pas de registre de la
puissance de sommet.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
The meter is equipped with a large Liquid Crystal Display
(LCD), one small Light Emitting Diode (LED) on upper
right side of the LCD, three push buttons (‘S’, ‘v’, ‘w’)
and one optical communication port, on the lower left and
lower right side of the LCD respectively.

liquides (ACL), une petite diode électroluminescente
(DÉL) du côté supérieur droit de l’ACL, trois boutons
poussoir (‘S’, ‘v’, ‘w’) et un port de communication
optique du côté inférieur gauche et droit respectivement.
All meter information and consumption values can be
shown by scrolling pages using the three front push
buttons.
Toute l’information du compteur ainsi que les valeurs de
consommation peuvent être visualisées en déroulant les
pages au moyen des trois boutons poussoir qui se
trouvent sur la face du compteur.
WM5-96 is a modular meter, with a black coloured base
unit housing the main electronic circuit board and the
LCD board.
WM5-96 est un compteur modulaire, composé d’une
base de couleur noire dans laquelle on trouve la carte de
circuits électroniques principale et la carte de l’ACL.
